Improve Your Memory-Three Quick Memories Tips
Quick Memory Tips
Need some quick memory tips, are you always looking for your keys , wallet or purse? This something we have all done whether we are young or old.I have noticed as I celebrate more birthdays these memory lapses have become more frequent. I wonder why the letter is still in my pocket, and struggle to recall the safe place I have stored my latest credit card details.
This type of memory lapse is perfectly natural, but can be annoying in everyday life.
Memory tips are always available, and a recent book I have just read give me long-winded tips on associations and visualization, great for remembering long lists, capital cities and things I don't need to remember, and also I soon forgot them.
I need help with remembering everyday things and not wasting valuable time searching for items and information.
What I feel is required are some quick tips.To easily remember these I have called them the Three R's.
Routine
A simple memory tip is always put easily lost items in the same place. It might be a trusty bedside draw, a file, tin or box. If you keep you keys, wallets cards etc in the same place you will not be wasting time searching for them.
One of the problems with our memories is that we aren't paying enough attention as we try to do to many things at once.
Rehearsal
When you have done some thing you want to recall say to yourself " I have put it in the garage" (or wherever) and repeat this to reinforce the message. The same can be done with names "this is Gordon'(or whoever) whilst looking at them and repeating their name.
Again just try to remember one thing at a time and avoid multi-tasking as it is difficult to concentrate and the long term memory will not be able to process the information.
Write it Down
There are loads of things we have to remember every day, such as phone numbers, addresses and passwords. We can write these down on our computer, laptop or phone. But remember these can let you down.
So I also use a notebook to write down everyday things, in fact I actually have two.i keep another in my routine place, just in case it goes missing. The other I keep with me,I suppose it is like a diary , but worth doing every day and you will readily recall the information you require and not waste your precious time.
Remember, Remember
Remember we can all have a good memory,it just takes a little working on.
Hopefully if you can remember the three R's these quick memory tips will help you to remember those everyday little things.
