Updated on July 4, 2012

Bankers And Banking

Gangsters, pranksters, banksters and bankers. It does not matter how you order these words or your particular use for them, they can all be used in the glorious world of banking. The very heart of our capitalist society today.

With yet another banking scandal breaking , it is the customers who are suffering from the greedy banksters lust for profit.

So in title order what do these terms mean.

Bankers

Bankers

The people who run the institutions that look after our money and finances. They pay themselves a lot of money to provide you with a service, and high ranking executives can expect huge bonuses, even though they are prone to the occasional mistake or two!

They control your spending, decide how much you can borrow and making sure they profit by charging you interest. You can also have an overdraft, which you will also be charged interest and you will also have the privilege of paying them for writing a letter to tell you when you have exceed your limit.

Savers are granted miserly interest rates, yet your money will be used to increase the banks profits and bonuses.

Even when the Bank Of England sets the interest rate at 0% the bank customer will always be charged interest.Banks and bankers will make money whatever the interest rate.

Banksters

The banksters have many other financial services available to ensure their high profits are maintained. They have a wide variety of other services available, endowments,PPI (Payment Protection Insurance.

Thankfully bank customers are now being compensated after they were sold these particular financial products that were not suitable or they could not benefit from them.

Mortgages an pensions are other services that have been mis-sold.

Yet the scandals continue and the latest rip-off for customers is the The London Interbank Offered Rate (or LIBOR) .Barclays bank have apologised for manipulating interest rates in a conspiracy that led to customers overpaying the amount of interest on their loans.

This collusion also mean other top banksters and traders around the world are also involved, creating a larger web of deceit in their pursuit of profit.

Gangsters

Organised crime? Many of these leading bankers are well educated and hold the highly reputable positions.Surely they must know exactly what they are doing and have a thorough knowledge of the products they are selling.

Manipulation of the LIBOR by the bankers was quite simply Fraud.Somebody should be on trial and taken to task, but it seems you can say sorry and take a £290 million pound fine. A tip of the iceberg scenario where other conspirators and bankers will have escaped.

Like the long frauds of the sixties gangsters, the real perpetrators in this fraudulent world of banking will be long gone and preparing their next scam.

Pranksters

While the manipulation of the interest rates may not directly affect everyone, the bankers game of playing for maximum profit at all costs, (mis-selling endowments, insurance and PPI etc.) will eventually affect everyone.

The tricks the pranksters are playing will affect shares an the stock market;bank shares fall and so does the rest of the stock market. this affects your shares savings and pensions and other finances connected the stock market such as pension annuities, which have fallen to an all time low.

Yes the joke is on the middle and working class taxpayers who have seen their savings investments and pensions plummet.

While the real jokers, the banker pranksters themselves will still earn their bonus.

Have You Lost Cofidence In The Bankers?

Do you still trust the banks

The Banking Trust

Yet another banking scandal, and it leads you to believe are the bank trustworthy anymore? Can you trust the Bank of England?

It now appears there will not be a full enquiry into the latest banking scandal, and it seems the whole reputation of investing and banking in the UK is in peril.

For now we are still in the hands of the bankers, banksters ,gangsters and pranksters.
